Bondla wildlife sanctuary is a suitable destination for a trip with whole family. As you walk along, you may spot a giant red Malabar squirrel, a wild Boar, a Sambar or several other wildlife. An archaeological exhibit in the form of a statue of the deity Gajalaxmi. You can also check out the collections at the Nature Education centre.

Established originally to house orphaned animals, the zoo is now a breeding colony for large species of deer. Covering 8-sq-km of deciduous forest, Bondla is a miniature zoo of sort housing caged animals and birds. A popular picnic destination for locals, Bondla zoo offers elephant rides as a major attraction.

Bondla Forest is situated at a distance of about 52 kilometers from Panjim. Bondla is smaller compared to the other three Wildlife Sanctuaries of Goa with a area of only 8 sq. Kilometers. It was established in the year 1969. More than a sanctuary it is a ideal Jungle resort, a major attraction for school going children and nature lovers. Its a mini zoological park, Deer safari park, formal gardens, Botanical gardens, Nature Education center, Bird life, Wild animals, Nature trails, Archaeological exhibit attract people throughout the year. Accommodation in the form of cottages are provided by the Government of Tourism.
The Bondla zoo circuit consists of Tigers, Wild Pigs, Elephants, Crocodile, Snakes(King Cobras, Phyton, , Gaur, Leopard, Bear, Peacock, Civlets, Deers(barking deer, sambar, etc), Fox, Porcupine.
